Civil Engineering Planner Opportunity - Nottingham

My client is seeking a Tender/Site Civils Planner to join their Civil Engineering team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work with a well-respected Civil Engineering contractor in a professional office environment. The role has arisen due to company expansion and a strong pipeline of projects.

The successful candidate will work on highways projects, which may include civil engineering, infrastructure, maintenance, and roadworks.

Location & Travel

The role is based in Nottingham and will involve regular site visits. Please note, this is not a hybrid role.

Requirements
  • Good educational background, preferably Foundation Degree (HND, HNC) in Construction, Civils, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in civil engineering planning or estimation, with demonstrated stability (1-3 years per employer).
  • Proficiency in P6 and MSP software.
  • Experience with NEC contracts 3 and 4.
  • Highways experience is essential.
  • Knowledge in groundworks, earthworks, civils, enabling works, highways/roads, landscaping, drainage installs, and activity scheduling.
  • Ability to develop programmes from first principles and interpret site drawings for take-offs.
  • Valid UK driver’s license for site visits.
Rewards & Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 – £65,000 plus 25 days annual leave. Additional benefits include a company car or allowance (£5-6k), family medical cover, pension contributions (3%), and a Christmas bonus.
