Nicholas Associates are recruiting for a Planner, for a family owned and run company, based in Borehamwood, who have been in operation for 45 years. They are an excellent firm who are financially stable and proftable.

As an employee you will always be close to the decision makers for the group and will have a say in how projects are tendered and decide the most suitable solution for their construction.

Their core focus is on delivering concrete framed projects, but includes enabling, groundworks and large basement structures. Their scope increasingly covers demolition, piling, external works, and utilities as well as our established offerings so a varied background would be favourable. The work is for predominantly Tier 1 Main Contractors and Developers in London and The Home Counties.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in planning and pre-construction for a similar business or would like to make the change from an on-site role, such as Project or Contracts Management, into our Pre-Construction team. On site experience in concrete frames and groundworks would be an ideal background for this role.

They would be joining an established team of Planners and Estimators based at Borehamwood.

An office-based role is preferred but they are a flexible company and open to discussing different arrangements for the right candidate. The candidate must be willing to work as part of a team and be open to promoting and discussing their programmes and chosen methodologies, as well as be able to present their submission to our board of directors and Client's Team, with the support of our Pre-Con Manager and other departments as required.

There will be a competitive package on offer, to reflect the experience of the candidate, with the salary, pension contributions, travel allowances, etc all up for negotiation.

Experience in using Asta Powerproject is ideal, but can be taught for someone making the move into PreCon. IT literacy for the basic suite of Microsoft software is essential, with experience in digital presentations a bonus. They encourage independent thinking and value alternative solutions.
