Job Description:

Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mate

Based at Pirin Court, working nights from Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am, the Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mate will undertake maintenance activities on Fire Systems assets, mainly in the Trackside environment. The role involves working as part of a team and individually, always ensuring safety. Due to frequent station-to-station travel, a full driver’s license is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks on fire systems within rail environment during night shifts.
  • Assist in delivering daily tasks aligned with business expectations.
  • Work collaboratively and independently as required.
  • Maintain health and safety standards and practices.
  • Report progress regularly to the site supervisor.
  • Utilize ServiceNow platform for visit reports.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate reports of completed activities to site personnel or line manager.
  • Ensure maintenance is completed according to schedule and standards, reporting issues promptly.
  • Complete administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Adhere to QEHS requirements and Drug & Alcohol policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of fire system maintenance procedures specific to the rail contract.
  • Previous experience with fire systems.
  • Experience working in LUL or rail environments.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing due to trackside work.
