Job Description:

The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network, with over 200,000 vehicles daily. It includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, requiring high performance, constant improvement, and repairs.

We’ve formed a Joint Venture called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract. We are seeking a Planned Maintenance Manager to oversee a £3m annual maintenance program across the network. Responsibilities include maintaining assets like pavements, barriers, fences, signs, and lines within your area.

You will lead a team of approximately 40 staff and oversee subcontractors, promoting safety and efficiency, mitigating risks, conducting inspections, and managing resources and budgets. You will also support repair teams, coordinate with scheduling hubs, and ensure continuous improvement to keep the network safe and resilient.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage delivery of the annual maintenance program, ensuring timely and within budget execution.
  • Maintain accurate data in management systems and support planning.
  • Coordinate with scheduling hubs to monitor and adjust the program as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for site sharing and risk management.
  • Support repair teams and manage vehicle and resource efficiency.
  • Oversee procurement and supplier performance.
  • Ensure safety standards and conduct regular inspections.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • Manage budgets, track progress, and seek efficiency improvements.
  • Drive continuous operational improvements and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in highways maintenance or similar fields.
  • CSCS and SMSTS qualifications.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to change.
