DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an enthusiastic Student Engineer to join our team specializing in design and development for Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems in Cwmbran, Wales, UK. During your placement, you'll learn how a major global organization operates, gaining valuable tools and exposure to become an industry expert and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates eligible for a placement year and will start in July 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience by working on live projects under the supervision of experienced engineers.
  • Participate in detailed component design according to industry standards.
  • Create construction or tolerance layouts and conduct testing of physical components for performance and reliability.
  • Learn about simulation techniques and software used in engineering projects.
  • Undertake an individual project to develop specific skills and knowledge for future career growth.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of engineering practices and principles.
QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful, you should:

  • Be currently studying for an accredited engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Show interest in working within a global corporation and demonstrate adaptability to changing environments.
