Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is offering a 12‑month placement across design and construction teams, delivering real‑world projects within the Severn Trent Water framework, with travel to sites around the region.

You will work under senior QS guidance on commercial and cost management, gain exposure to NEC contracts, and learn how to drive value through quality and efficiency on major UK projects. Summer 2027 starts this placement year.

Qualifications

• Must be studying a full-time undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Excellent communication with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial and cost management of projects, including paying subcontractors and cost to complete.
• Maintain records and final accounts for audits and cost assurance.
• Develop contract management skills and understand NEC and change control.
