Overview

Our client is a highly regarded commercial insurance wholesale business with a busy and growing Leeds City Centre office. Due to this excellent growth, they have a requirement to appoint two additional placement brokers.

Responsibilities

• Work with key broker partners, assisting them in the placement of a wide variety of commercial insurances, ranging from SME through to larger mid-market and corporate risks of a more technically complex nature.
• Place the majority of cases within the Lloyds market and other speciality insurers with an appetite for difficult to place risks.
• Identify the correct markets, negotiate and arrange risk placement, and manage a large element of relationship management with brokers to create further new business opportunities and help achieve account growth.
• Meet brokers and attend networking events as part of developing and expanding business opportunities.

Qualifications / Experience

• Ideal applicants will have at least 2 or more years of commercial insurance experience.
• Natural inclination to enjoy negotiation and the placement element of broking.
• Open to commercial brokers, commercial account handlers, or commercial underwriters looking to move across to a broking role.

Location and Working Arrangements

Predominantly office based, with an opportunity to work on a flexible basis with some hybrid working.

Remuneration

Excellent salary of up to circa £40k plus a fully comprehensive benefits package.
