Background

Do you want to help students gain valuable, real-world experience through high-quality placements? Are you energized by working in a supportive, future-focused environment? If so, here is an opportunity to play a key role in the newly developed Placement Service at Canterbury Christ Church University.

We're reimagining the way students engage with placements—delivering integrated, high-impact support that helps them step confidently and safely into professional environments. Our Placement Compliance Team is dedicated to ensuring all student placements meet PSRB standards and risk management requirements, providing a safe and compliant pathway into professional environments.

In this role, you will support the team in delivering a student-centered placement service that upholds regulatory compliance and provides high-quality administrative support. You'll join a dynamic team where collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to student success drive everything we do. Your knowledge and skills will help shape a modern placement journey that equips students with the skills, confidence, and networks they need to thrive in today's world. If you're ready to contribute to this exciting direction, we look forward to hearing from you.

To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced administrator, skilled at providing high-quality support within a busy environment. While direct experience with student placements is not essential, a basic understanding of placement processes and compliance requirements would be beneficial.

Familiarity with Professional, Statutory, and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs) and their compliance frameworks is desirable, particularly in maintaining accurate records and supporting adherence to placement policies.

You will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent record-keeping skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Experience working with digital systems for tracking and reporting is important, and knowledge of placement management software or similar tools would be advantageous.

Canterbury Christ Church University truly welcomes fresh perspectives and new voices. We want you to bring your authentic self to work, and we are committed to creating a genuinely inclusive environment where everyone feels welcomed and a sense of belonging. Our community spirit will help us eliminate discrimination and enable us all to thrive in a culture based on fairness and justice. We seek individuals who will proactively support and shape this aim and contribute in their unique way. If this describes you, we look forward to your application.

Our university is deeply committed to shaping sustainable futures as part of its mission and values. If you share this passion, we encourage you to join us in making CCCU a more socially and environmentally conscious, sustainable place to study and work.

Employment Visa Clarification: According to the UK Government Points-Based System, this position does not meet the requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route.

Please include contact details of two employment referees in your application, one of whom must be your current or most recent line manager.

Applications must be submitted online via the university website; emails sent directly cannot be considered.

Prior consideration will be given to applicants in the university's redeployment pool. No agencies, thank you.
