6 months contract with local authority
The Place Directorate is responsible for Planning Development Management, Strategic Planning, Economic Growth, and Climate and Sustainability. As a Project Manager within this directorate, you will collaborate with corporate managers and teams across various departments, reporting directly to the Director of Place.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage time-limited projects for the services within the Place Directorate, including developing, monitoring, and managing project plans, risk, and quality assurance.
- Procure, appoint, and oversee consultants for technical projects.
- Engage with stakeholders, Councillors, and committees on key projects and messages.
- Review processes and recommend changes to policies, strategies, and procedures.
- Oversee small-scale capital projects such as public realm facilities installation or energy generation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management or a related field.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage resources effectively and report on financial performance.
- Experience in engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Qualifications in planning or technical expertise are advantageous but not mandatory.
