Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for individuals to join our Liverpool FC Foundation team as PL Primary Stars Coordinators.

In this role, you will support the delivery of the LFC Foundation’s Premier League Primary Stars Programme. Your responsibilities will include supporting teachers to improve confidence in running PE lessons, supporting schools with educational activations and interventions, and working as part of a team across mass participation events.

The Premier League Primary Stars programme uses the appeal of the Premier League and Liverpool Football Club to inspire children to learn, be active, and develop important life skills.

What will you be doing?
  1. Update LFC Foundation’s reporting database.
  2. Deliver the Premier League Primary Stars programme in a designated cohort of schools.
  3. Plan and prepare sessions using the PL Primary Stars templates, considering all abilities, ages, and SEND considerations.
  4. Deliver interventions on topics such as PE, PSHE, English, Maths, extracurricular activities, assemblies, workshops, social action, tournaments, transition sessions, CPD events, and mentoring.
  5. Ensure activities align with the primary school curriculum and OFSTED guidelines.
  6. Work closely with teachers to support and boost their confidence in delivering PE.
  7. Organise and run teacher training workshops within the programme.
  8. Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner schools and key staff.
  9. Liaise with schools to promote additional LFC activities.
  10. Collect and maintain monitoring and evaluation documentation, including online records.
  11. Ensure all activities are monitored with proper risk assessments and health and safety measures.
  12. Engage in CPD and training to improve skills.
  13. Understand and adhere to safeguarding policies to ensure the wellbeing of young people.
  14. Deliver bespoke interventions to individuals or groups.
  15. Support holiday camps and activation events as needed.
Who are we looking for?

You should have a proven track record of delivering sports coaching in schools to young people of all ages and abilities, with a good knowledge of the PE curriculum across KS1 & KS2 and various teaching styles. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders are essential.

Essential Qualifications
  • First 4sport Level 3 certificate in supporting PE delivery or working towards it.
  • First 4sport Level 2 award in multi-skills development in sport.

This is a full-time fixed-term contract for 12 months, working 35 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as required. The main base is Anfield Sports & Community Centre, Liverpool, with occasional travel across Merseyside, England, and Wales.
