PKI Engineer

Job Opportunity: PKI Engineer

A leading public sector organization is seeking a PKI Engineer for a 6-month contract based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee Certificate Authority Administration, including Certificate Enrollment Web Service, Policy Web Service, and monitor Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS).
2. Manage Azure Key Management Services to ensure robust cryptographic key security.
3. Support the implementation and management of Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) to handle the lifecycle of digital certificates.
4. Conduct audits of the current system, identify risks, and develop strategies for a new PKI service by analyzing existing certificate use cases.
5. Provide technical support for the PKI managed service, including issuing and revoking certificates.

Technical Expertise:

1. Extensive hands-on experience with PKI and certificate deployment and automation.
2. Proficiency in PKI machine identity technologies such as SSH, SSL, and TLS.
3. Experience in managing Key Management Systems (KMS) for cryptographic key security.
4. Strong understanding of PKI systems and services, the ACME protocol, Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP), and the use of RESTful APIs.
5. Practical experience with Certificate Authority Administration, ADCS monitoring, and related tasks.
