Overview

PKI Architect – 3 months contract – Fully remote, inside IR35. SC cleared required. Salary: £800 - £850 a day.

Location: Remote (UK). Security clearance: Active SC clearance essential.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and deploy scalable and fault-tolerant PKI systems in on-premises and cloud offerings.
  • Work in Agile, small dedicated and collocated teams, with flexibility to participate in larger team work when required.
  • Develop scripting capabilities and understand development processes and tools; integrate and build solutions using cloud configuration management and version control tooling.
  • Build core components of Public Key Infrastructure, Key Management (BYOK/HYOK), and cloud infrastructures.
  • Engineer and develop scripts, code, and configurations; create low-level designs and provide feedback on high-level designs.
  • Participate in re-engineering existing client solutions to leverage benefits of cloud offerings.
  • Ensure automation of solutions and focus on continuous improvement and value delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with team and internal stakeholders; listen, collaborate, and share ideas.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Solid Public Key Infrastructure experience.
  • Solid Key Management experience, including BYOK and HYOK.
  • Solid Certificate Management and Automation experience.
  • Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, REST API, JSON); experience with automation and configuration management tooling.
  • Understanding of Virtualization, Infrastructure as a Service, networking, and cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated with ability to work independently and in teams.
