Job description

We are seeking a Piping Engineering Construction – NDT to drive the on-site engineering delivery and management of the Non-Destructive Testing contract, covering both standard (RT, UT, DPI, MPI) and advanced methods (PAUT – Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing). You’ll play a vital role in coordinating with contractors, resolving technical issues swiftly, and supporting a smooth transition from design to installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead point of contact for NDT engineering within the MEH programme.
  • Collaborate closely with the NDT Project Manager and Technical Lead.
  • Manage contractor documentation and maintain the Surveillance Plan.
  • Drive the on-site implementation of PAUT as a radiography replacement.
  • Respond to technical queries and manage Early Warnings.
  • Coordinate activities between the installation and NDT contracts.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in NDT or contract engineering within complex construction environments.
  • Strong engineering discipline and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, schedule-driven settings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Basic understanding of NDT techniques and relevant contractual/commercial knowledge.

Desired Requirements:

  • Engineering degree and Chartered Engineer status.
  • Experience in piping systems, installation, or commissioning.
  • Knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactor (PWR) design/operations.
  • Working knowledge of CDM regulations and/or the French language.
  • Certification or experience in Ultrasonic Testing.
