Are you ready to bring your technical expertise to a dynamic and innovative team? Join EDF UK as a Piping Engineer and play a crucial role in supporting the NSSS Auxiliary Piping scope. Your skills will be vital in resolving technical queries and ensuring the integrity of both large and small bore piping, as well as instrumentation within key buildings.
The Opportunity
As a Piping Engineer, you will oversee the full off-site delivery life cycle, ensuring that all engineering activities are performed in accordance with safety, quality, and cost parameters. Your role involves coordinating the review and acceptance of designs by various parties under the surveillance of Nuclear Services. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager and the Joint Design Office (JDO) to manage the transfer of engineering responsibility and support post HO3 activities.
You will ensure the planning and delivery of design and engineering meet the Project's needs, including mitigating delivery risks and providing ‘best for Project’ solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of all engineering from all parties up to delivery to Site (HO3).

What You’ll Be Doing
You will support the Engineering Manager in resolving technical queries, oversee the resolution of piping-related topics, manage contractual correspondence, and ensure engineering support throughout activities. Responsibilities include managing design interfaces, supplier feedback, and preparing trackers for schedule and maturity analysis.
Who You Are
You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, experience with piping design, manufacture, and installation, preferably in nuclear applications. You have a proven track record in complex projects emphasizing safety, security, and environmental responsibility. Familiarity with management systems, policies, procedures, standards, and stakeholder engagement is essential. You hold a degree and chartered status in an engineering or related field, with knowledge of CDM Regulations.
