At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Piping Engineer at our Bristol site.

The role

As a Piping Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This role is focused on reviewing CAD models to identify off-site modular construction opportunities, helping reduce rework, improve safety, and streamline installation on the SZC project.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with design and engineering teams to shape how complex systems are built off-site, ensuring plans are technically sound, buildable, and aligned with project goals

Analyse CAD models room-by-room to identify viable “module” boundaries.

Liaise with Constructability, Engineering, and Design functions.

Record module definitions for constructability reviews and technical documentation.Review or approve module designs depending on experience level.

Support improvements in process, risk mitigation, and module interface control.

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with two days in the office and three days working from home, amongst being adaptable and can be delivered from various locations including Bristol.

Essential experience of the Piping Engineer

Experience with piping layout and pipework installation.

Strong skills in navigating and interpreting CAD models.

Good working knowledge of constructability and construction design principles.

Practical experience in a construction site environment.

Qualifications for the Piping Engineer
