Job description

Role: Pipelayer
Location: Guildford
Rate: 21 - 23 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM - 17:00 PM (9.5 hours paid)
Duration: Starting ASAP, 5 months of work

Our client is a multidisciplinary, main contractor excelling in the delivery of construction and civil engineering projects across the UK, currently looking for an experienced Pipe Layer to work on a busy civils site in Guildford.

As a Pipelayer, your duties will include:

• Laying deep and shallow drainage pipes (concrete, clay, and plastic)
• Reading and working from site drawings and levels
• Trenching, benching, and installing manholes
• Operating within trench boxes and using shoring equipment
• Coordinating with machine drivers and groundworkers
• Ensuring work meets tolerances and site specifications

Successful Pipelayer must have the following:

• Valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker or above preferred)
• At least 4 years of experience in pipelaying on civil engineering sites
• Good understanding of drainage layouts and safe working practices
• CPCS/NPORS for Dumper/Roller (preferred but not essential)
