Job Title: Pipefitter – Workshop Fabrication

Department: Engineering & Fabrication
Location: Dundee
Contract Type: Temporary Contract
Working Pattern: Dayshift, 6 days per week
Pay Type: CIS or Umbrella


Job Purpose:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking experienced Pipefitters with a strong background in workshop-based pipework fabrication. This is a contract position offering competitive hourly rates and structured overtime for extended hours and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake pipe fabrication activities in a workshop environment to high-quality standards

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols at all times

Carry out work efficiently to meet project deadlines

Communicate effectively with supervisors and other tradespersons

Person Specification:
Essential:

Proven experience in pipefitting, specifically in workshop-based fabrication

Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings

Competent in use of tools and machinery relevant to pipework fabrication

Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

Industry-recognised qualifications or apprenticeships in pipefitting or fabrication

Valid certificates relevant to workshop or site work (please provide on application)

Contract & Pay Details:
Basic Rate: £21.85 per hour
Hours:

Monday – Friday: 10-hour shifts

Saturday: 8-hour shifts

Standard Pay Structure:

Day Hours Rate
Mon–Fri (Basic) First 40 hrs £21.85/hr
Mon–Fri (OT) After 40 hrs £32.70/hr
Saturday (1–4 hrs) First 4 hrs £32.70/hr
Saturday (4+ hrs) After 4 hrs £43.70/hr
Sunday All hours £43.70/hr

Travel Allowance:
£45.00/day available for candidates living more than 39 miles from site

Must complete a minimum of 8 hours/day
