Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Pipefitter Superintendent for dayshift or nightshift at HPC to lead complex piping and cabling work within the MEH Alliance. You will drive safety, productivity and timely delivery on the UK's first 3rd generation nuclear project.

With proven experience in pipefitting supervision on major construction programmes, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules and ensure compliance with regulations while developing trainees and apprentices on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter Superintendent within an engineering project.
• Proven track record in nuclear power preferred.
• Experience working on major construction projects.
• Relevant Skills Card (where required).

• Oversee delivery of work scopes, identify improvement opportunities and manage progress.
• Maintain adherence to regulations, agreements and procedures.

• Co-ordinate with internal/external parties (HPC reps, Client) and attend progress meetings.
• Ensure trainees and apprentices receive appropriate experience within allocated work.

The Role

• Play a pivotal role in building the UK's clean energy future.
• Work within the MEH Alliance, collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems.
• Lead on Safety and Production: Champion nuclear safety culture while maximising team productivity.
• Oversee efficient delivery of work scopes, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Maintain adherence to regulations, agreements, and procedures.
• Manage Project Progress: Schedule, track progress, and issue daily reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Liaise with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external parties (HPC representatives, Client etc.), attend progress meetings as required.
• Ensure trainees and apprentices receive appropriate and varied experience and training within the confines of the work allocated.
• Manage and co-ordinate sub-contractors.

You are a great fit if you have:

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter Superintendent within an engineering project.
• Proven track record in nuclear power preferred.
• Experience working on major construction projects.
• Relevant Skills Card (where required)

Qualifications

• Relevant Pipefitting Professional Accreditation (NVQ or Diploma Level 3 minimum in Relevant Discipline)
• Must have a CCNSG Safety Passport
• SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
