Job summary

Manpower Group UK is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join a major energy infrastructure project in Somerset. You will be responsible for fabricating and installing pipework within a highly regulated engineering environment, working on a landmark nationwide project.

The role offers day and night shifts with a 22.5% Night Shift Allowance, long-term work, generous holiday entitlement and a contributory pension.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing small and large bore pressure pipework.
• Experience installing pressure pipework, superheater headers, and vessels.
• Experience on outages, shutdowns, major projects, or new-build engineering construction sites.
• Experience in Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Thermal Power, or Heavy Engineering Construction.
• CCNSG Safety Passport is required or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and assembling pipework using specialist tools and techniques.
• Installing and securing piping systems in line with detailed specifications.
• Testing and inspecting pipework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met.
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.
• Preparing work areas and maintaining strict adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Assisting Supervisors to ensure work is carried out efficiently and to the required standards.
• Supporting the successful delivery of critical mechanical systems.
