Job summary

A leading marine engineering company in Falmouth is seeking experienced Pipefitters to join their talented team. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems onboard ships. Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 apprenticeship in pipefitting or equivalent and be committed to high-quality work and safety standards. The position offers a starting salary of circa £35k per annum along with excellent benefits, including annual leave and pension contributions.

A&P Falmouth – Pipefitters

Home to one of the world’s largest natural deep-water harbours, A&P Falmouth’s facility is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK.

We are looking for Pipefitters to join our busy and talented team. If you have previous experience as a Pipefitter and enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced setting, we’d love to hear from you.

So, what will you do?

  • Install, repair and maintain piping systems onboard ships according to engineering specifications
  • Fabrication and assemble pipes using specialised tools and techniques
  • Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure integrity and safety of pipework installations and repair
  • Prepare work areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Maintain a safe and organised working environment

And what are we looking for?

  • A Level 3 apprenticeship in pipefitting or equivalent would be desirable
  • Previous experience in a shipbuilding/marine/heavy industrial environment would be advantageous
  • You’ll need the ability to understand technical drawings
  • You'll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • You'll be absolutely committed to ensuring health and safety in your work
  • You'll have excellent teamwork and communication skills
