Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting skilled Pipefitters to join a major energy infrastructure project in Somerset.

The role involves installing and testing complex piping systems within a highly regulated engineering environment, with day and night shifts and a 22.5% night shift allowance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the manufacture of small and large bore pressure pipework.
  • Experience in the installation of pressure pipework, superheater headers, and vessels.
  • Previous experience working on outages, shutdowns, major projects, or new-build sites.
  • Sectors: Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Thermal Power, Heavy Engineering Construction.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricating and assembling pipework using specialist tools and techniques.
  • Installing and securing piping systems in line with detailed specifications.
  • Testing and inspecting pipework to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.
  • Preparing work areas and maintaining strict adherence to health and safety procedures.
  • Assisting Supervisors to ensure work is carried out efficiently and to required standards.
  • Supporting the successful delivery of critical mechanical systems.

The Role

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience within one or more of the following sectors:

Essential Qualifications
  • Full Level 3 Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Diploma in:
  • Pipework Fabrication
  • Pipe Welding
  • Marine Plumbing
  • Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
