Job summary

Owen Daniels are currently recruiting experienced Pipefitters to join the Hinkley Point C project in Somerset. This long-term opportunity offers secure work on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, with ongoing demand as the site progresses.

You will install and fit pipework systems, read drawings, measure, cut, prepare and assemble components, and install supports and valves while upholding strict quality and safety standards as part of a mechanical installation team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in a Pipefitting/Mechanical discipline.
• CCNSG Safety Passport.
• Security clearance.
• Experience in industrial pipefitting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience in highly regulated environments would be advantageous.
• Experience at Hinkley Point C would be beneficial but isn't essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, with ongoing requirements for skilled trades as the project continues to progress.

The Role

• Installation and fitting of pipework systems
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, preparing and assembling pipework
• Installation of associated supports, valves and components
• Working to strict quality and safety standards
• Working as part of a wider mechanical installation team
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site procedures

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ in a relevant Pipefitting/Mechanical discipline
• CCNSG Safety Passport
• Security Clearance
• Previous industrial pipefitting experience
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Experience working within highly regulated environments would be advantageous
• Previous experience at Hinkley Point C would be beneficial but isn't essential

Hourly Rates:

• Basic: £28.29 - £29.52 per hour
• Overtime A: £39.61 - £42.82 Overtime B: £50.93 - £55.05
• 10 days on / 4 days off

Allowances:

• Weekly Accommodation Allowance - £350.73 (Tax Free)
• Travel Time Allowance (based on location)
