Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Pipe Fitter to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to exciting residential and domestic projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in homes, apartment buildings, and small-scale commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  2. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes using hand and power tools.
  3. Install and assemble piping systems for water, heating, gas, and drainage applications in residential and domestic settings.
  4. Inspect piping systems for leaks, defects, or required maintenance.
  5. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  6. Collaborate with plumbers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure project success.
  7. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs as required.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Mechanical Pipe Fitter or similar role in residential or domestic settings.
  2. Strong understanding of domestic piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  4. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for pipe fitting.
  5. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in residential construction.
  6. Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Gas Safe certification, CSCS card) are advantageous.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
