Job description

Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking to recruit for a number of Pipefitters to join a global manufacturer based in Newcastle.
The successful candidates will be required to assemble, install, and maintain stainless steel hydraulic piping systems as per provided engineering drawings. Typical piping is 1/4" to 1.5". Experience with Walform pipework is advantageous.

Interested candidates must be Time Served with demonstrable experience working within a manufacturing assembly-based environment with a clear background in pipefitting. Candidates must also have experience working with Swagelok fittings. Most work on site is bespoke; therefore, the ability to work without drawings and use your own initiative is a must!

Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 6:30am to 3:00pm
Friday: 6:30am - 12:00pm
All OT Paid at premium rates.
Package also includes pension, private health, and free canteen on site.
These roles are available for an immediate start!

The Role
  1. Installation, assembling, repairing, and maintaining of stainless-steel hydraulic piping systems.
  2. Experience working with Swagelok pipework and associated fittings.
  3. Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  4. Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to required shapes using hand and power tools or machines.
  5. Monitoring the quality of pipes and other materials to avoid errors and ensure specifications are met.
  6. Maintaining accurate records of pipe dimensions, materials, and other procedures.
  7. Updating maintenance and installation records upon completion of tasks.
  8. Complying with all relevant and appropriate safety guidelines.
  9. Close collaboration with other departments including Engineers, workshop technicians, and quality.
Qualifications/Skills
  1. Time served within a relevant discipline.
  2. Demonstrable background in pipefitting with stainless steel pipework.
  3. Experience working with Swagelok fittings.
  4. Able to read engineering drawings.
