Job summary

Belcan in Lincoln is seeking an experienced Industrial Pipe Fitter for an advanced stainless steel piping project in an industrial manufacturing environment.

The role involves bending, forming, and assembling pipework, reading drawings and P&IDs, and using Swagelok fittings on power generation or heavy engineering systems. Candidates should have 5–10 years in pipe fitting and hold NVQ Level 3 with an engineering apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years' experience as a Pipe Fitter in Power station / power generation / Industrial manufacturing or Heavy engineering environments.
• Experience with stainless steel pipework and tubing.
• NVQ Level 3 and an engineering apprenticeship completed.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Bend and form tubing using hand tools from ¼” to 1”.
• Operate machine tooling to bend and form 1” to 3” tubing.
• Identify tube and flange details per engineering specs.
• Fit, bend, form, and terminate small bore pipework assemblies.
• Set up pipe fabrications and tack assemblies ready for welding.
• Assemble pipework systems using Swagelok fittings.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and P&ID drawings.
• Carry out manual handling safely per guidelines.

Pipe Fitter Opportunity - Industrial Manufacturing Environment

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial Pipe Fitter to join a leading engineering and manufacturing facility based in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled pipe fitter with a strong industrial or power generation background to work on high-specification stainless steel pipework and tubing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Pipe Fitter will bend and form tubing using hand bending tools ranging from ¼” to 1” tubing
• Operate machine tooling to bend and form 1” to 3” tubing
• Identify tube and flange details in accordance with engineering specifications
• Fit, bend, form, and terminate small bore pipework assemblies
• Set up pipe fabrications and tack assemblies ready for welding
• Assemble pipework systems using Swagelok fittings
• Prepare and set up pipe fabrications, including weld joint preparation
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and P&ID drawings
• Carry out manual handling duties safely within company guidelines
• Pipe Fitter will have 5-10 years' experience as a Pipe Fitter within Power station / power generation / Industrial manufacturing or Heavy engineering environments.
• Strong background working with stainless steel pipework and tubing
• Proven fabrication and pipe fitting experience
• Hands‑on experience using Swagelok fittings
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and P&IDs
• NVQ Level 3 in Installing Engineering Construction Plant Systems - Pipe Fitting
• Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling activities
