Job summary

A reputable staffing agency is seeking 2 Pipefitters for ongoing project work in Preston, with an hourly rate of GBP24.92 plus a barrier payment. Candidates should have experience in heavy industrial work, especially in Nuclear or Oil & Gas sectors, and must possess NVQ Level 3 in pipefitting. Willing to assist with obtaining BPSS clearance necessary to start work.

Job description

We are looking for 2 Pipefitters for our client on a project based at Springfield Fuels, Preston.

Hourly Rate: GBP24.92 (plus GBP2.00ph barrier payment on all hours)
Pay Type: CIS
(PAYE rates available upon request)

Hours: 38.5hrs per week (Monday - Friday)
Monday Thursday 07 30
Friday 07 15

Duration: Minimum 12 months with view to be on-going

Project:
Pipefitters undertake general mechanical maintenance, including the removal, replacement, and reconfiguration of valves and associated pipework within buildings.

Experience required:
The successful candidates will need to have a demonstrated background working on Nuclear or Oil & Gas heavy industrial fabrication projects.
You also must be an experienced Pipefitter with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant pipefitting discipline.

Clearance:
You must be willing to obtain BPSS clearance, this will be processed on your behalf but does require a level of paperwork from the contractor to be completed. This process can take up to 4-6 weeks, and must be in place before a start.
The time is dependent on the response rates with documents and IDs. You will be required to provide 3 years worth of references, and personal references for any gaps in employment.
