Pipefitter

Location: Downham Market

Excellent Rates of Pay

Min 3 mth contract

Are you an Experienced Pipefitter looking for work with an immediate start? If yes, read on.

My client is wanting to add to their team of Pipefitters working for the next 10+ weeks on site. They are currently looking for skilled Pipefitters.

The Role - Pipefitter:

As a Pipefitter, you'd be responsible for replacing pipe systems within a large food manufacturing facility, focusing on equipment like bulk conveying systems, milling, and packaging machines, while adhering to safety guidelines.

This company specializes in high-quality mechanical installations across a range of commercial and industrial projects and is looking for a reliable and experienced professional to support their growing workload.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Fabricate, install, and weld pipework using MMA welding techniques.
2. Carry out Flux Cored Arc Welding on 304 Standard stainless steel pipework to a high standard.
3. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise pipework installations.
4. Cut, prepare, and fit pipes to meet project requirements.
5. Work as part of a team to complete on-site mechanical installations.
6. Ensure all welding and pipefitting work meets industry regulations and quality standards.
7. Conduct quality checks and rectify any welding defects.

Requirements:

1. Experience as a Pipefitter Welder.
2. Expertise in welding.
3. Coded advantageous.
4. Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Working Environment:

1. You could work in a factory environment, potentially in cramped spaces.
2. You may need to wear safety clothing and use safety equipment.
3. The role requires physical strength and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Pipefitter:

1. Experience of Pipefitter.
2. Experience working in confined space (ideally trained).
3. Able to commute to Downham Market area.
