Job summary

BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness is seeking Pipefitters for a long-term contract to support heavy industrial projects.

The assignment runs from 19 October 2026 to 23 December 2026, with potential extension into the New Year. Typical hours are 10 per day, seven days a week, with tiered overtime rates and travel/digs allowances.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Pipefitting Qualification required.
• Experience in heavy industrial, nuclear, marine or defence preferred.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards.

Job description

Pipefitters required for a long-term contract opportunity at BAE Systems, Barrow-in-Furness.

Contract Details

Start Date: 19 October 2026

End Date: 23 December 2026

Potential Extension: Into the New Year with follow-on opportunities available.

Hours

Hours: 10 hours per day 7 days per week

Rates

• £23.45 per hour - First 38 hours Monday to Friday
• £32.83 per hour - Overtime 1 Monday to Friday and Saturday
• £42.21 per hour - Overtime 2 Sunday
