Job summary

Matchtech is partnering with a leading engineering and defence organisation to recruit experienced Pipe Welders for a major project in Glasgow. This 12-month contract offers excellent rates of pay and long-term work opportunities within a highly skilled manufacturing environment.

As a Pipe Welder, you will fabricate and weld pipe systems, interpreting drawings and welding procedures to the highest safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship recognised in welding or engineering.
• Experience welding heavy pipework in relevant sectors (heavy engineering, marine, defence, oil & gas).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble pipe systems following procedures and specs.
• Weld using TIG, MAG, FCAW and MMA processes.
• Produce high-quality welds meeting standards and tolerances.
