Job summary

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting for an experienced Pipe Welder to join our client on a month contract in Barrow-in-Furness, with immediate start subject to interview and weld test; travel to Skelmersdale for the weld test may be required.

You will weld pipework to engineering drawings using appropriate welding procedures, inspect welds for quality, and maintain a clean, safe on-site working area while coordinating with a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pipe Welder is essential.
• Must hold current or previous welding codes/certifications.
• Strong experience welding pipework in an industrial or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working to welding procedures and quality standards.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Relevant welding qualifications/certifications are advantageous.
• NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in welding would be expected.
• CCNSG (Safety passport) or CSCS Card in date.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality pipe welding to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Weld pipework using the required welding processes and techniques.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld procedures and fabrication specifications.
• Prepare, fit and weld pipework to the required tolerances and standards.
• Ensure all welds meet the required quality and inspection standards.
• Carry out visual inspections of completed welds and rectify any defects where required.
• Work safely and comply with all site health & safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work independently.

We are currently looking for experienced Pipe Welder to join our client on a month contract in Barrow-in-Furness.

Immediate start available (subject to interview and weld test).

Must be happy to travel to Skelmersdale for the weld test.

Rate of pay is £30.00 per hour (All hours).

This will be working with materials such as Stainless and Carbon.
