Pipe Fitter Needed in Manchester:

Location:

Manchester

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 07:00–16:30; Friday, 07:00–15:30 (44 hours per week, flexibility given and required)

Salary:

£19–£23 per hour

Contract Type:

Permanent, Full-Time

Our client, a leading specialist in vehicle conversions and coach building, is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to join their expanding Manchester-based team. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding.
  2. Thread and bend pipes by hand or using machines.
  3. Repair systems using various welding and plumbing techniques.
  4. Attach pipework securely to structures and prevent water ingress.
  5. Seal pipe routes and check for leaks or weak joints.
  6. Perform welding, soldering, brazing, and fusing of pipework.
  7. Read and interpret drawings/specs to install piping systems in vehicles.
  8. Test completed work to ensure quality and compliance.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Previous experience as a Mechanical or Pipe Fitter.
  2. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  3. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Own transportation or reliable access to sit.
