Job description

ROLE: Pipe Fitter

Location: Manchester

Salary: £23.00 per hour + bonus + benefits

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.00 am – 4.30 pm. Friday 7.00 am – 3.30 pm

YOLO Recruitment is currently looking for a dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable Pipe Fitter / Mechanical Fitter to join our team. We seek someone passionate about our values and delivering quality service to customers.

Full training will be provided to support your learning.

Pipe Fitter / Mechanical Fitter – duties:

1. Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding using various tools and equipment; Threading and ending pipe by hand or with pipe bending machine
2. Repair systems using welding and plumbing techniques
3. Attach pipes to structures and bend into position
4. Seal routes of pipework and eliminate water ingress
5. Test your work or others' to ensure there are no leaks or weak joints
6. Welding, soldering, brazing, fusing of pipework
7. Read and interpret specifications to determine layout requirements; plan and install piping systems in industrial units/vehicles

About you:

1. Excellent understanding of the manufacturing process
2. Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter
3. Your own transportation or reliable means to travel to site
