National Gas is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our fabrication team at Ambergate. You will fabricate, fit, assemble, and repair pipework and mechanical systems in line with engineering drawings and project needs.
The role supports welding, testing, installation, and critical tie-ins on site. We value practical, precise engineering with the ability to read drawings and isometrics, and you will work across workshop and site environments with a full UK driving licence.

NGS provides specialist inspection, maintenance, repair, infrastructure, and emergency response services across the UK and Ireland. Our fabrication capability is an important part of delivering that service safely and reliably.
As a Pipe Fitter, the quality and accuracy of your work will have a direct impact on project delivery and operational performance. From fabricating pipework in the workshop to supporting complex tie-ins on operational sites, you’ll help make sure equipment is prepared correctly, safely, and ready when it’s needed.
This role would suit someone who enjoys practical, precision engineering and takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality fabrication work. You’ll be comfortable working independently as a skilled technician while collaborating closely with the wider fabrication and operational team.
