Job summary

Thames Valley Police is seeking qualified PIP2 or PIP1 investigators to join CID, focusing on serious and complex crime across Buckinghamshire. You will work toward accreditation and handle investigations with a victim-centered approach, ensuring compliance with Victims Code.

You will plan and coordinate investigations, maintain records in NICHE, support fast time operations, and contribute to a professional investigative team dedicated to bringing offenders to justice.

Qualifications

• Qualified PIP2 or PIP1 investigators, NIE accreditation in progress.
• Experience in CID handling serious and complex investigations.
• Police Vetting as per National Vetting Code of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and undertake investigations using appropriate techniques and technologies.
• Deliver a victim-centred service by supporting victims throughout investigations.
• Prioritise caseloads, maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion.
• Support the wider investigative team and contribute to fast time investigations when needed.
