Description & Requirements

Role Overview: As a Paramedic Functional Assessor at Maximus, you'll utilize your clinical responder experience to assess how disabilities or health conditions impact daily life. You will handle complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions, chronic pain, and disabilities, providing compassionate support to clients.

The role includes comprehensive training with 6 weeks of initial training, followed by ongoing mentorship and assessment work.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Conduct assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face to evaluate the impact of health conditions on daily activities.
2. Prepare reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to determine benefit eligibility.
3. Enhance your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision.

Requirements

1. Valid HCPC registration number.
2. Minimum 1 year of broad post-registration experience, gained within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust.
3. Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
4. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
5. Proficiency in computer software for report writing.
