Role Overview

As a Paramedic Functional Assessor at Maximus, you'll utilize your clinical experience to assess how disabilities or health conditions impact daily life. You'll handle complex cases involving physical and mental health, providing compassionate support to clients.

We offer a comprehensive training program, including 6 weeks of initial training, ongoing support, and mentorship to ensure your success in the role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Conduct assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face to evaluate the impact of health conditions
2. Prepare detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to determine benefit eligibility
3. Enhance your clinical skills through regular feedback and supervision

Requirements

• Valid HCPC registration number
• Minimum 1 year of broad post-registration experience, within or outside the NHS ambulance trust
• Legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency in computer software for report writing
