Role Overview

As an Occupational Therapist Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will utilize your clinical expertise to evaluate how disabilities or health conditions impact daily living. The role involves assessing complex cases with physical and mental health conditions, including chronic pain disorders, providing compassionate support to clients.

Training & Support

The position includes a comprehensive 6-week training program, followed by ongoing mentorship and support to ensure your success in the role.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face to evaluate how health conditions affect daily life.
2. Prepare detailed PIP reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining benefit eligibility.
3. Enhance your clinical assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision.

Requirements

1. Valid HCPC registration number.
2. Minimum of 1-year broad post-registration experience, within or outside the NHS.
3. Legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
4. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
5. Proficiency in computer software for report writing.
