PIP - Occupational Therapist Functional Assessor

Location: Blackburn

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Salary: £37,800

About the role

As an Occupational Therapist Functional Assessor at Maximus, you'll use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders, while your compassion and experience help customers move forward with their lives.

The role includes a 6-week tailored training program, ongoing support, and mentorship.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Conduct assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
2. Produce PIP reports to help the DWP determine eligibility for benefits.
3. Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision.

Requirements

1. Valid HCPC registration number.
2. At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience, within or outside the NHS.
3. You must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Comfortable using computer software to produce detailed reports.
