Job summary

Thames Valley Police is seeking a Secondment-based PIP2 Investigator for a fixed-term post in Aylesbury. You will manage investigations, prepare case papers and ensure timely delivery in line with court deadlines and policy, while maintaining victim and witness confidence to secure successful outcomes.

The role is on-site, FT, with a strong emphasis on professional development and compliance with police procedures.

Qualifications

• Qualified PIP2 Investigator required.
• Experience in criminal investigations and case file preparation.
• Portfolio progression towards PIP2 qualification is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage and progress investigations of criminal offences and incidents as part of a mixed team of Police Officers and Staff.
• Complete investigative actions, prepare case papers and ensure files meet court deadlines and force policy.
• Maintain victim and witness confidence to facilitate successful outcomes.

FTC/Secondment until 1st September 2027

This is an exciting opportunity to where the successful candidate will manage and progress the investigation of criminal offences and other incidents/enquiries, working as an integral part of a mixed economy team of Police Officers and Staff.

Full time vacancy

You will complete investigative actions, prepare case papers ensuring file completeness and delivery in accordance with Court deadlines, legislation and Force policy and maintain victim and witness confidence to facilitate successful outcomes.

Applications are sought from qualified PIP2 Investigators.

Due to the timescales of fixed term secondment, role only suitable for PIP 2 qualified candidates only or those who have completed the Investigators Development Program / INV 156 & Serious and Complex Crime Interviewing / INV002 courses and commenced Portfolio towards PIP2 qualification.

This is an On Site role.
