Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Engineering Risk Manager to lead the project risk function end-to-end across the PCS Services portfolio. You will influence bid quality, drive risk-informed pricing, and partner with engineers during handover to ensure risks are understood and mitigated.

This is a brand-new role with significant scope for shaping risk practices within the business. You will report to the Engineering Leader for Services and support a diverse portfolio spanning industrial,

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification or substantial practical engineering experience.
• Ability to understand technical risks and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review, and assessment of Project Risk Assessments (PRAs) during tender and sales phases.
• Attend project review meetings for active service, upgrade, and delivery projects to translate challenges into bid improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement by feeding project outcomes back into commercial and tendering processes.
• Work with Service Project Engineers during handover to ensure risk profiles are understood by delivery teams.
• Support bidding teams by integrating risk findings into bid strategy and pricing decisions.
• Contribute to evolution of internal risk assessment tools, templates, and methodologies.
• Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders on risk profiles and mitigation effectiveness.
• Participate in contract negotiations and customer engagements where risk expertise adds value; travel up to ~10%.
