The Piling Design & Estimating Engineer will hold a relevant engineering degree and MSc or bias towards Geology/Geotechnics preferred. This role provides diversity, supporting the design & estimating elements of piling, foundations, and ground improvement techniques, ensuring compliance with the company management system and business strategy.
The successful candidate will have significant design experience and be competent designing bearing piles, tension piles, laterally loaded piles, and retaining walls. Design includes tender and contract design, as well as site redesign as required. A degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a relevant subject is minimum; MSc and Chartered Engineer status are preferable.
The individual will assist in managing incoming piling enquiries, including assessment of opportunities, tenders, and client interaction/negotiation to secure orders, providing ongoing support throughout projects. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, supporting site issues, contract redesigns, and liaising with external authorities and engineers.
