Job summary

The Highfield Company is seeking a Design Engineer to join a specialist piling and ground engineering team in the North West of England. You will design piling and ground engineering solutions and work with project delivery colleagues to ensure designs are practical, efficient and fit for purpose.

We are looking for a Civil or Structural Engineering degree holder with design experience in civil, piling or ground engineering, strong analytical skills and good communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in a design engineering role within civil/structural/piling or ground engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Producing and developing engineering designs for piling and ground engineering projects.
• Undertaking design calculations and technical assessments.
• Preparing design documentation, drawings and technical submissions.
• Working collaboratively with project teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Ensuring designs meet relevant technical standards, project requirements and industry regulations.
• Liaising with internal teams and other project stakeholders throughout the design process.
