Job summary

Cranswick PLC, with Wayland Farms Ltd as part of its pig production network, is seeking a Pig Stockperson for one of its units near Kings Lynn. The role covers the full pig cycle, including feeding, moving and handling pigs, while maintaining a tidy unit.

The position is 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday with alternate weekends. Candidates should prioritise animal welfare, be reliable and a strong team player; a driving licence is preferred.

• Be self-motivated, flexible and a great team player.
• Be reliable and demonstrate good time keeping.
• Previous agricultural experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Actively involved with all areas of the pig cycle.

Job responsibilities of Pig Stockperson:

• You will be actively involved with all areas of the pig cycle
• You will be based on one of our units
• On a day-to-day basis this includes feeding, moving, and handling the pigs
• You will also maintain the condition and appearance of the farming unit

What you will need:

• You must always prioritise and adhere to animal welfare
• To be self-motivated, flexible and a great team player
• You must be reliable and demonstrate good time keeping
• Previous agricultural experience is desirable
• Licence/Certification:
• Driving license and access to a car (preferred)
• The shift pattern is Monday to Friday with alternate weekend work, total of 45 hours per week
