Job summary

Wayland Farms Ltd is a pig production company looking for a dedicated team member to work at one of our units in the UK. You will feed, move and handle pigs daily, while keeping the unit clean and well-presented.

Animal welfare must be your top priority in every task. The role requires reliability, flexibility and good timekeeping, with a preference for candidates with agricultural experience and a driving licence (preferred).

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and a great team player.
• Reliable with good time keeping.
• Previous agricultural experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Feeding, moving and handling pigs on a day-to-day basis.
• Maintain the condition and appearance of the farming unit.
• Prioritise animal welfare in all duties.

Job description

• You will be actively involved with all areas of the pig cycle
• You will be based on one of our units
• On a day-to-day basis this includes feeding, moving, and handling the pigs
• You will also maintain the condition and appearance of the farming unit
  You must always prioritise and adhere to animal welfare
• To be self-motivated, flexible and a great team player
• You must be reliable and demonstrate good time keeping
• Previous agricultural experience is desirable
• Licence/Certification:
• Driving license and access to a car (preferred)

  The shift pattern is Monday to Friday with alternate weekend work, total of 45 hours per week
