Location: Lincolnshire

Working hours: 45-hour working week (hours discussed upon interview)

Position: Permanent Full-Time

Wold Farms Ltd Rearing & Finishing operates farms across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, and the Midlands. As part of industry-leading food producer Cranswick plc, we are expanding and seeking a dedicated Fields Person to join our team.

This role involves working within the existing team to ensure the smooth operation of pig health, welfare, and movements across our farms.

Main Duties:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with contract growers and finishers.
  • Assisting with stock movements and advising on pig selection for slaughter to meet target weight and quality standards.
  • Monitoring livestock health in line with RSPCA assurance standards and company policies, providing advice when necessary.
  • Communicating regularly with the production team to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience handling livestock and a keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license, as travel between farms is required.
