Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Band 4 Engagement, Activity and Physical Health Practitioner for Greyfriars Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role focuses on promoting recovery, social inclusion and engagement for adults with mental health needs.

The post-holder will coordinate daily engagement, activity and physical health monitoring, run specialist sessions and contribute to health and well-being activities for patients on the PICU.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 Functional Skills Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Assess activity abilities and interests of up to 10 patients with severe mental health challenges on Greyfriars PICU.
• Plan and implement an activity programme for PICU patients based on the Engagement, Activity & Physical Health agenda.
• Coordinate with Named Nurses and MDTs to ensure individualised care packages.
• Attend training and staff appraisal processes and participate in preceptorship opportunities.
