Packer duties and responsibilities

Packers are responsible for ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and are packed to a high standard prior to shipment. They are also responsible for hitting packing targets and working in a health and safety compliant manner in the warehouse. Their duties include:

1. Locating the correct goods as per customer orders using barcodes and serial numbers.
2. Using warehouse machinery to move goods from storage areas to packaging areas.
3. Inspecting goods for damage or faults before packing.
4. Using industrial packaging materials, such as cardboard boxes, wooden pallets, and bubble wrap, to safely and securely package goods.
5. Loading packaged goods into containers for shipping.
6. Completing paperwork or entering data into software to track orders.
7. Ensuring storage areas are fully stocked at all times.
8. Following health and safety policies and procedures in the warehouse.

Compensation and Schedule

• £11.44 per hour
• Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Free parking
• Extra hours available some Saturdays
• Own car essential due to no public transport
