Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently selecting and packaging oak joinery products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and maintaining high standards of quality. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday during day shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Fulfilment: Accurately pick products from inventory based on customer orders.
  • Packing: Carefully pack oak joinery items to prevent damage during transit, using appropriate materials and techniques.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before packing and shipping.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe by adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Shipping Coordination: Prepare and label shipments, coordinate with shipping carriers, and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address any order-related issues.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or joinery environment is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking and packing.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and order processing.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, during day shifts.
  • Punctuality and reliability in attendance.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with oak joinery products or woodworking.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse machinery.
