Picker/ Packer

Location: Haydock, WA11
Pay Rate: £12.89 (AM)/ £13.39 (PM)
Shifts: Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:00/ 14:00 – 22:00
Contract: Temporary

About the role –

Join a leading organisation at the heart of the UK’s pharmaceutical and healthcare supply chain, supporting the safe and accurate distribution of vital medical products.

As a Picker/Packer, you’ll be responsible for preparing customer orders with care and accuracy, working as part of a reliable and efficient warehouse team. This position involves handling a range of goods in a well-structured, temperature-controlled environment, including ambient, chilled, and freezer zones. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are key to success in this role.

All candidates must successfully complete a DBS check and drug & alcohol test prior to starting.

Key Responsibilities –
  • Accurately pick and pack orders using handheld scanners

  • Operate in ambient, chilled, and freezer zones (with PPE and additional breaks provided)

  • Follow picking instructions and ensure correct labelling of goods

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets

What we’re looking for –
  • Previous warehouse experience, preferably in a distribution environment

  • Comfortable working in chilled and freezer areas (full PPE supplied)

  • A proactive, “can do” attitude and strong team ethic

  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety standards and procedures

  • Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills

  • Must be able to pass drug & alcohol tests and a DBS check
