Job summary

Booker is seeking a Van Driver to join our delivery team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for picking for the delivery team and supporting the delivery operation to provide first-class service.

You will need a full driving license. Duties include accurate picking and dispatch using a handheld terminal, checking quality and packaging, loading stock at the branch and unloading at customer premises, and completing paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full driving license.
• Experience in delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to work as part of a delivery team.
• Ability to load/unload stock and complete paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

Within this role you will have the opportunity as a permanent member of the team to join ourdelivery team.

You will join the business as a Van driver with a mix of duties, including pickingfor thedelivery teamwhich includes supporting the delivered operation in achieving first class customer service.

You will need a full driving license to be considered for this role.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Responsible for the accurate picking and dispatch of goods bypicking against a hand held terminal and advising Manager of any differences.

Checking quality, shelf life and ensuring packaging is robust in preparation for Delivery.

Responsible for providing a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficientlyand to target.

Providing first class service to our customers when delivering their goods.

Being polite when dealing with delivery staff and responding appropriately to queries and complaints referring any complex situations to someone who can help.

You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.
